Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Gunners make fresh Mudryk bid, deal ‘close’, shock interest in Eden Hazard, Tielemans latest

Good morning Arsenal fans

Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhailo Mudryk appears to have confirmed his switch to Arsenal is set to happen after posting a photo of himself in a Gunners shirt.

The 22-year-old has openly said he wants to sign for the North London club in the January transfer window.

But Arsenal have seen their opening two bids knocked back with Shakhtar said to be demanding £88million.

The Gunners have yet to submit a third offer, while Chelsea are also in the bidding war.

Despite the transfer battle between the London giants, Mudryk is currently in Turkey during Shakhtar’s mid-season winter tour.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are in talks to sign Real Madrid star Eden Hazard this month.

According to Media Foot, former Chelsea star Hazard could make the move back to the Premier League after struggling at Real.

The Gunners will turn to the winger if they fail to sign top target Mudryk.

The North Londoners have contacted Los Blancos to see if signing the Belgian would be a possibility.

And Arsenal have been charged with failing to control their players for the second time within a week.

The Gunners were penalised for their antics in the goalless draw against Newcastle on January 3 and six days later the North Londoners’ players surrounded the referee on the way to beating Oxford in the FA Cup.

Mikel Arteta’s stars remonstrated with David Coote in the 34th minute of Monday’s third-round clash at the Kassam Stadium after Albert Sambi Lokonga’s effort deflected wide for a corner kick after striking an Oxford defender on the arm.

The official did not award a penalty and there was no VAR on hand to review the decision, sparking a furious reaction.

And that has now prompted another response from the FA, who declared: “Arsenal FC has been charged with breaching FA Rule E20.1 during its tie against Oxford United FC in The FA Cup on Monday 9 January 2023.

“It’s alleged that Arsenal FC failed to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion during the 34th minute, and the club has until Monday 16 January 2023 to respond.”

Finally, Arsenal have been told they can sign Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic on loan in the January transfer window.

Manager Mikel Arteta wants depth in midfield ahead of what could be a rough second half of the season in the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League.

And TuttoJuve report Milinkovic-Savic could be the solution to their problem.

The Serbia international’s contract expires in the summer of 2024, but he could be allowed to leave this month.

The same report suggests the Roman outfit is losing patience over the 27-year-old’s contract situation, which means they might be forced to cash in.

As a result, the Serie A giants would now be prepared to accept a six-month loan deal with an obligation to buy for £44m in the summer .
