The cast for Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 blockbuster adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby was filled with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, but relative newcomer Elizabeth Debicki as golfer and socialite Jordan Baker nearly stole the show out from under them entirely.
Over a decade on, Debicki is set to star in The Crown season five as the late Princess Diana when it is released on 9 November, and has already begun filming season six of the hit Netflix series.
Debicki had only done one professional acting project before Luhrmann’s hit, but it only takes one Hollywood hit to make a household name. From there, the Australian-born actor’s projects didn’t stop coming.
From spells on TV series The Night Manager and The Kettering Incident, to dipping her toe in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Ayesha, leader of the Sovereign people, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and voicing Mopsy in Disney’s Peter Rabbit Debicki’s net has been cast far and wide when it comes to her roles.

The same goes for Debicki’s style. The actor’s 6’3 frame suits just about anything, and she has certainly taken the opportunity to experiment with her style over the years.
