The Grooms Wore SS Daley – And Personalised Shoes – For Their London Town Hall Wedding

Despite some inevitable stressful moments, it was “very fun seeing it all come together”, he goes on. “Especially for Daniel, who has a strong creative eye, so he knew exactly what taste level he wanted down to the last detail. From the amount of blue velvet ribbon that adorned the napkins on the table, through to the hand-wrapped marble print paper on our favour boxes – it will all remain forever in our minds,” Jonny says.

The ceremony was held in the Westminster Room at Old Marylebone Town Hall, close to the couple’s home, then black cabs ferried the wedding party and guests to the Foundling Museum for cocktail hour. “It was the most stunning combination of classic London history, architecture and art as a backdrop, combined with truly beautiful floristry from our dear friend and florist extraordinaire, Rachael Barker,” says Jonny. “Her tablescape for our two long banquet tables was so beautiful, I burst into tears when I saw it all come together.”

The party didn’t stop there: after a three-course feast prepared by Bovingdons Catering, and a series of emotional speeches, everyone decamped to The Londoner for disco dancing in the Green Room, where the couple’s friend Charles Oak is director. “DJ Fat Tony and Lou Hayter played two amazing sets, which kept everyone dancing the night away until the very end.”

Looking back, the newlyweds have no regrets about taking on the planning themselves. “There were a couple of hiccups that occurred on the day, but no one really noticed and that will always happen,” says Jonny. “You just have to roll with it and enjoy the moment as it’s all over so quickly!” Overall, he says: “Everything was perfect.”
